Fulfilling a multi-generational legacy of greatness
Your generous support will enable us to meet our goals and create a neo-immigrant experience for American descendants of slaves and the African diaspora.
Dr. Joshua Smith is a professor, pastor, author, public speaker, and social justice advocate. He founded The Solomon Center in 2020 to create a neo-immigrant experience for American descendants of slaves and the African diaspora.
The mission of The Solomon Center is to create a neo-immigrant experience for American descendants of slaves and the broader African diaspora, fostering holistic healing and fulfilling a multi-generational legacy of greatness.
The Solomon Center’s Education branch will provide ancestry tracing as well as education and partnership with African countries.
The Education branch will also establish K-12 schools dedicated to African American students and teachers, expand HBCUs to the West Coast, and establish Solomon Center Learning Institutes on college campuses around the country and internationally.
The Business & Entrepreneurship branch of The Solomon Center will develop a business rating system and directory of Black-owned businesses around the country. The B&E branch will be an incubator and funder for African American entrepreneurs, providing them with training and access to resources.
The Solomon Center Science & Technology branch will develop high-profile technology competitions for African American students around the country and provide scholarships to students majoring in the STEM fields.
The Arts & Entertainment branch of The Solomon Center will work with Black writers, directors, producers and talent to develop children’s programming that features African American people in films and television programs of all genres.
The Social & Legal Justice branch of The Solomon Center will hold regular summits to educate the public about voting issues and will work with churches to engage them as leaders in community policing. The Center will also disrupt and redirect the school to prison pipeline through advocacy and by working with the Education branch to provide mentorship to students, as well as providing professional training and mentorship to inmates.
